Healthy Chicken Marinade
This healthy chicken marinade recipe not only gives step-by-step directions, but it also tells you WHY each ingredient is important and easy substitutions.
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1-2 tsp. Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. Liquid Smoke
- 2 Tbsp. rosemary roughly chopped
Mix all ingredients together in a gallon-sized plastic ziplock bag.
Add 2 pounds of chicken pieces and seal shut. Shake the bag to coat all of the chicken pieces.
Put bag in the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 hours but preferably at least 8 hours.
Remove chicken from the marinade and put onto the hot grill. Discard leftover marinade.
